John Stuart, Professor of Architecture at Florida International University, is an architect, historian, and video artist exploring collaborative projects on complexity, community, technology, and public space. Stuart’s research has been funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the National Science Foundation, The Wolfsonian, and the Graham Foundation for Advanced Study of the Fine Arts. His publications include: Paul Scheerbart, The Gray Cloth, Paul Scheerbart’s Novel on Glass Architecture {2001}; and Ely Jacques Kahn, Architect: Beaux-Arts to Modernism in New York {2006}, and The New Deal in South Florida: Design, Policy and Community Building, 1933-1940 {2008}. Stuart is a registered architect who researches and practices in Miami Beach, Florida.
