THIS HOTEL IS DESIGNED IN RESPONSE TO ITS LOCATION AND THE CLIMATE OF THE REGION.THE BUILDING IS A SCULPTED RECTILINEAR FORM CREATING TERRACES FACING THE NORTH AND IS SHEATHED IN A JALI SKIN COMPLETELY.THIS JALI IS DERIVED FROM TRADITIONAL INDIAN ARCHITECTURE AND YET IS USED TO CREATE A MODERN BUILDING RELEVANT TO THE PRESENT. THE JALI CREATES PRIVACY FOR THE ROOMS AND PUBLIC SPACES SINCE THE SITE IS LOCATED IN AN INDUSTRIAL AREA. IT ALSO MAKES THE BUILDING MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT BY REDUCING HEAT GAIN DURING SUMMER MONTHS.A JUDICIOUS MIX OF TRADITIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY DESIGNS FORM THE INTERIOR SPACES TOO, CREATING A HOTEL THAT IS UNIQUE IN ITS INTERPRETATION OF TRADITION IN TODAYS’ TIME
