Santa Rosa National Park is part of Area de Conservacion Guanacaste which is registered in the UNESCO list of World Heritage since 1999 due to it important natural habitats for the conservation of biological diversity, including the best dry forest habitats from Central America to northern Mexico and key habitats for endangered or rare plant and animal species. The Visitors Center will have the function to facilitate historical and environmental education for an average of 200 tourists who visit the park every day
