At the heart of the Middle East lies a land steeped in history, culture, and conflict a battleground not only for physical dominance but also for cultural survival. Building along side this destruction is a form of resistance and cultural struggle. The main concept was based on the culture and symbols of the region. The sense of "rootedness"and "unmediated connection" that characterize the native Palestinian Arab architecture. The building, which is built with its own hands, emphasizes the sense of"strong belonging, identity and emotional attachment".Considering the strategic location and historical background of the village, known as the Khan al-Ahmar School Community, the rich culture of the Bedouin Arabs, the name of the village, which means"red caravanserai".Khan (Persian word meaning caravanserai) and al-Ahmar (meaning red-limestone with the color of iron oxide, the red-brown hills of the Jerusalem-Jericho road), the main concept of the project was formed. The school plan is a multiple of 2meter modules and is inspired by the rectangular plan of the caravanserai around a central courtyard. This courtyard is a place for performances, traditional music, dance and also a shelter from climate. Creating a space dug into the heart of the mountain is a bastion to escape attacks. for climatic issues, The double-skinned roof are made of tents or tarpaulins(tent of the Bedouin) (red means Al-Ahmar and the Palestinian flag-symbol of blood on the sword)The school yard is green (the Palestinian flag - fertile Arab lands) on the slope facing the east. The main entrance is on north and for emergency and disabled access, a ramp is located next to it. A small farm in the west provides food. A place for rest and group activities is planned above the northern roof. A single olive tree in front of the entrance symbolizes peace. The buried water tank is planned near the entrance and road for easy access. The school's electricity is provided by solar panels on roof. The lavatory sewage is collected in a buried septic tank installed under the building
