-Fossil fuel reserves, which meet a large part of the energy need, are rapidly depleting. Nowadays, biomass energy research studies have gained prominence and algae is now considered a promising energy source.

-Based on the photosynthetic property of algae, the "Living Machine" project as an Algae Research Center promotes biogas renewable energy production, biomass conversions, sustainability, and air purification. Those pipes as we see are tubular bioreactors and algae is processed in those pipes, they are mainly located as south facade to maximize sunlight and then connected to bioreactors tanks.

-The areas evolved around the tubular bioreactors and they can be seen from inner areas. Algal bioreactors and raceway ponds which are the main concepts of the project, determine the starting point of the project. Bioreactors work in circulation around the land, identifying and surrounding other necessary areas.

-Since the project place is connected to the İzmir metro station it brings a lot of new people to the site, the ground floor and bridge floor evolved as a social place with working places and also it can bring a new idea for digital nomads, visitors, research students, academicians etc.The project provides interconnection of areas, common working and living spaces, and various research and development laboratories. It is aimed to transform the bridge as a social platform to visitors and provide working and living spaces in the project.Land is located between the residential area and the Izmir-Bölge metro station area.
