Art Installation – “Heart of Sayram Lake” Art Installation – Sayram Lake, China
Earth’s lost blue tear, Sayram Lake stretches across 1,314 km², hiding the eternal romance of lifelong love within mountains and waters.
Snow peaks, grasslands and crystal lake form a unique vertical landscape. For millions of years, the still lake embodies everlasting life and true love: its waters endure through every season, just as genuine love stands the test of time.
Rooted in sincere and unwavering faith in true love, DR strives to beautify love. It wishes all believers of true love to find their sole lifelong partner, and share the spirit of true love across the globe. This is why DR was founded, and what the brand constantly chases.
DR stands by the vow “Love one person for a lifetime”.It has a one-of-a-kind rule: each man can buy just one DR engagement ring with his ID, for his sole lifelong love.Symbolizing: One Life, One Only, One True Love.
The exclusive 1314-themed interactive check-in zone at Sayram Lake deeply integrates the local IP of Sayram Lake with DR’s brand philosophy of “One Life, One Only, One True Love”. Serving as a distinctive scenic landmark in the scenic area, it welcomes tourist participation and features continuously updated installations that evolve over time.
Bordering the 1,314 km² Sayram Lake, snow peaks embrace the lake while meadows stretch to the sky. A gentle dialogue about nature and lifelong true love quietly begins
Shaped like a water drop, the installation pays homage to Sayram Lake’s moniker “the Last Tear of the Atlantic”. Ground-mounted with outward-spreading circular ripples, it captures the gentle ripple effect of a drop hitting water. Its central interlocking twin rings mimic matching diamond bands, uniting the lake’s natural romance with the symbol of true love.
The artwork is fully constructed from mirrored metal. Its glossy surface mimics the clear, fluid quality of lake water. The high-reflection mirrors capture snow peaks, the lake, grasslands and visitors, embracing the lake’s grand natural views and integrating the sculpture seamlessly into its surroundings.
Featuring mirrored metal as the main body and hollow wire mesh as accessories, this interactive artwork is designed for couples. You can put Sayram Lake natural stones and DR custom heart locks inside. As tokens pile up, engraved love mottos on the interior slowly come into full view. Filled units can be grouped into a matrix landscape, making every participating couple a builder of this true love landmark
The color scheme originates from Sayram Lake’s layered, unspoiled highland natural tones: clear lake blue, snow white, meadow green and pale sky cyan. Clean alpine air and bright sunlight purge messy shades, delivering the lake’s signature pure, well-defined natural palette.
Set within this landscape, the artwork uses mirrored metal and red wire mesh as its core visuals. Cool glossy metal mirrors the lake’s transparency and captures all mountain, wind, light and cloud scenery. Bold red mesh stands out against the plateau’s coldness, representing fiery, loyal and eternal true love, pouring gentle yet resolute affection into the quiet wilderness.
Intertwined materials deliver both the lake’s ethereal clarity and love’s fervent warmth. Rooted in the local landscape yet elevated by artistic romance, the installation harmonizes with nature and brings one-of-a-kind love symbolism to the frigid highlands
During its display, Sayram Lake’s changing winds and snow endow the installation with living dynamism. Breezes, clouds and shifting light make the mirror metal reflect constantly changing skies, lake and snow peaks. When frost dusts the red hollow mesh, stark cool-warm color clashes soften, blunting harsh light layers. Far from a rigid sculpture, it is reshaped nonstop by the lake’s weather and light, fully integrated into this hidden natural paradise.
As snow melts and light returns, the bright mirror metal and vivid red mesh stand out again. Alternating cool and warm light forms a mutual resonance between nature and true love, a romance of stillness and movement intertwined. Shifting between light and dark, hidden and exposed, cold and warm, the artwork has no fixed appearance. It is a romantic fragment evolving with weather and time, capturing the timeless beauty of the 1,314-square-kilometer lake and mountains, and expressing the essence of lifelong, steadfast true love.
