Ortal Fireplaces launched its new, iconic showroom in Hod Hasharon — an innovative and inspiring space that expresses the company's design philosophy, merging advanced fire technology, refined aesthetics, and contemporary architectural thinking.
The new showroom was built from a desire to create a different kind of visit — one that allows private clients, architects, and interior designers to explore the company's full range of heating solutions within a world of materiality, lighting, technology, and atmosphere.
According to Ronny Tadmor‏ - ‏VP Israel Market, Ortal Fireplaces: "The new showroom reflects the connection between technological innovation, elevated design, and warm Israeli hospitality. We wanted to create a place that doesn't just display fireplaces — but tells a story of quality of life, inspiration, and family. It's a space that demonstrates how a fireplace can become an inseparable part of the architecture and ambiance of a home. The showroom launch comes at a meaningful moment for us, as Ortal marks 40 years of activity. As an Israeli company that develops, manufactures, and markets fireplaces in Israel and around the world, it was important to us to create a showroom that embodies the brand's DNA — innovation, quality, engineering, and uncompromising design."
The space was designed by interior designer Shiri Shalom, known for her signature use of black alongside a dramatic yet clean design language. With great skill, she deploys black to amplify the experience of fire and the sense of intimacy it creates. From the moment visitors enter, they encounter a sculptural element wrapping a ceiling-hung fireplace that evokes movement and curiosity. Further in, a floating concrete wall houses a double-sided tunnel fireplace, alongside a natural granite island featuring a bioethanol burner that allows architects and clients to explore design possibilities interactively.
One of the showroom's most striking spaces is the electric fireplace room — a dramatic, dark-toned environment where the ceiling opens in the shape of a flame and curved plasterboard walls create a sense of continuous discovery. Among the unique elements created specifically for the project is a steel library suspended from the ceiling above a working fireplace — a complex detail requiring precise engineering, developed by Shiri in collaboration with Ortal's designers. It is a sculptural piece that combines heavy materiality with a sense of weightlessness, demonstrating Ortal's ability to integrate fire solutions with meticulous architecture.
"The organic language carries through into the furniture pieces chosen for the space," explains Shalom, "including an amorphous sofa with flowing, soft lines that balances the weight of the iron, stone, and concrete, and reinforces the sense of warmth and hospitality throughout the showroom."
The new Ortal Fireplaces showroom is located at 15 HaCharash Street, Hod HaSharon, and is open to private clients as well as professionals from the worlds of architecture and design.
