The refurbishment of the Duke of York’s headquarters marks the 3rd and final stage of the transformation of the former army barracks.

Paul Davis + Partners re-planned the interior of the listed building to provide 15 contemporary spaces including a book shop, café/bar and educational facilities. It is now home to the Saatchi Gallery.

The new extension to the rear provides 5 gallery spaces and visitor facilities. It will be linked to the HQ by a transparent glazed structure connecting the new to the old, and housing the main vertical circulation routes through the building.

The new Gallery will become a key component in Sloane Square’s arrival as London’s most exciting new cultural destination.
