Antalya Golf Club: Belek / Antalya.
Golf Club is established in a 1.247.000 sqm of forest area, bordered by sea, in the county of Belek, Antalya. The land is uneven and its existing streams and marshlands are covered with a young forest of pine and eucalyptus trees. After the rehabilitation of the area most of the marshlands are transformed into ponds. The partnership consisting of Irish–English–Turkish associates, inaugurated in 1997, has completed establishment, planning, projects and all official documents. After approvals the work has been carried out through June 2000.
The Golf Club comprises of a Golf Academy, 18 Holes Standart Golf Course, 18 Holes Championships Course and its Facilities. It is the largest Golf Club and the only Championship Course in the region. After the general settlement were concluded by the cooperation of the Architect and the Golf Designers, the design of the Golf courses have been realized by the European Golf Designers / London. Architect Cafer Bozkurt / Istanbul is the general coordinator of the planning and also the designer of the all buildings. The initial project includes;
1. Golf Academy
2. 18 Holes Standart Golf Course – Pasha
3. 18 Holes Championship Course – Sultan
4. Golf Club House & Café-Bar
5. Beach Cabana, Discotheque and the Pool
6. Residences
7. Maintenance and Service Buildings

When Turkish Partners obtained all of the partnership in 2001, the tower of the Club House, Cafe Bar, Beach Cabana, Discotheque and the Pool were replaced by a 400-Bed Golf Hotel Project, preserving the Golf Club House and the Golf Residences. During 2001-02, in 24 months, 1.247.000 sqm of land was processed, Ponds, restoration of the existing forests, afforestation, all infrastructure works, Golf Courses, the construction of the Club House, Maintenance and Service Buildings were finished and the complex was opened to use. Construction of the Golf Hotel and the Residences are postponed.
The Club House is placed in a high location overlooking the site, where all the beginning and final shots of both the Standart and the Championship Course games can easily be seen. Similar criteria were considered for the design of the Club House. All of the services, storage areas, kitchens and the parking lots are located under the building, thus not interrupting the landscape or the golf game.
The Club House, gathered around a plaza with the Proshop, emerges from an absolute geometric scheme that consists of two squares. The first square that faces the plaza is used by the administration. This blind-walled mass is lightened by the voids in the entrances on three sides of the building and the opening on the roof.

The second square which accommodates the food court and the cafe-bar is characterized by the al a carte restaurant on the second floor that is rotated 45 degrees with triangular consoles on the sides and a glass pyramid on top. This part is entirely coated with glass and circumscribed by columns attached to the building with steel chords that are covered with tents, expressing the opening out of the inner spaces to the outside.
