In a postindustrial city like Torino, which is living a real metamorphose, it’s important to show its desire of liberty, its new ambitions and also all its paradoxal faces. Cinema, Arte Povera, Fiat industry are all made in Torino.
Pylons are one of the symbols of our last century. Like industrial trees, they changed our landscapes. But today new energy sources appeared and pylons will one day disappear. For that, artists were influenced by them. It is a real structure on themselves so why not convert pylon’s first vocation to give a message, to express a way of transmitting architecture ? Edron pylon is recuperated as structure for the UIA info point. It reflects a structure made of many faces like those of the city. An inside of Kaleidoscope spirit and an outside fluid to give spatial emotions. Only one pylon is needed to construct, its skin filters light and its cover is translucent. With this pylon we can imagine different ways of setting up. At night, it is also completely animated with LED, projections. Using only friendly material, Edron is autonomous and can be placed anywhere.
Because history is part of our roots we don’t have to forget it.
