Perched on the rugged slopes of Tinos, the house unfolds in an amphitheatrical arrangement where the Aegean Sea serves as the perpetual protagonist. From its "floating" white volumes to the central infinity pool that dissolves into the horizon, every corner of the property is a choreographed response to the island’s light and wind. It is a sanctuary where the architecture steps back, allowing the raw beauty of the Mediterranean landscape to take center stage.
There is a specific kind of silence found only on the island of Tinos, composed of distant waves, the occasional hum of the Mediterranean breeze, and the unapologetic light of the Cyclades. It is within this raw, untouched landscape that Tinos Infinity emerges as a summer sanctuary that redefines the concept of oceanfront living. Approaching the house, one does not see a building so much as a series of luminous white sculptures scattered across the hillside. The design takes its cue from nature, with the white volumes of the residence sitting against the pale, rocky earth like smooth pebbles resting on sand. Thanks to a clever stone perimeter that anchors the pool, the house appears to float above the terrain, suspended between the rugged ground and the endless sky.
Life at Tinos Infinity revolves around the central stage, a magnificent inner courtyard where the boundary between architecture and the Aegean dissolves. Here, the overflowing infinity pool spills toward the horizon, creating a seamless blue-on-blue vista that dominates the senses. The social heart of the home is designed for the long lunch and the sunset cocktail. Deep, built-in P-shaped sofas wrap around the terrace, inviting guests to linger while the sun dips below the waves. Even the act of arrival is a cinematic experience, as a long corridor of arches frames the sea like a series of living paintings, welcoming you home with the blue of the Mediterranean at every turn.
While the front of the house celebrates the vastness of the sea, the design understands the need for intimacy. A second, secluded rear courtyard serves as a sun-trapped sanctuary for alfresco dining and slow Sunday gatherings. This clever dual-courtyard layout ensures that even when the famous Tinos winds pick up, the outdoor lifestyle remains undisturbed. Inside, the home is a masterclass in effortless coexistence. By tucking bedrooms away on three different levels, the residence offers a rare sense of autonomy and privacy. It is a place where a full house of friends can come together for a poolside feast, yet find total solitude in their own private quarters moments later. Tinos Infinity captures the very essence of slow living, where the architecture steps back to let the light, the stone, and the infinite sea take center stage.
