The residence for Mr. Mohit Sharma was undertaken at a crucial stage when the client decided to discontinue services with a previous architect. Although the structural framework had already been completed, the spatial planning and overall experience of the home did not align with the client’s expectations. Our firm was entrusted with re-envisioning the project and transforming the existing structure into a cohesive, meaningful, and refined living environment.

Given the linear configuration of the site, the design strategy was anchored in clarity of zoning. The layout was consciously divided into two primary segments: a 2/3rd private zone and a 1/3rd public zone. The larger portion houses all private functions including bedrooms, attached toilets, and walk-in closets, ensuring privacy and comfort. The remaining 1/3rd accommodates shared spaces such as the living areas, a central open courtyard, and a grand double-height volume that enhances spatial fluidity and openness.

A defining feature of the residence is the central courtyard, conceived as a spiritual and cultural anchor. Symbolically representing Goddess Lakshmi, the courtyard houses a Lakshmi sculpture positioned against a large tree backdrop. The double-height wall is inscribed with the Shree Sukt mantra, surrounded by lush greenery, creating a contemplative and serene environment that blends tradition with architectural expression.

The overall design language of the common areas and façade adopts a Neo-Classical character, establishing timeless elegance and visual harmony. In contrast, the bedrooms are individually curated according to personal preferences, ranging from modern minimalism to classical detailing. A restrained monochromatic palette and limited material selection ensure continuity, refinement, and a harmonious aesthetic throughout the residence.
