Led by architect İrem Arıbaş, interior architect Hüseyin Beş, and interior architect Yurdaer Beş, BAB Architects has carried out successful architectural, interior, and broadcast design projects in Turkey and around the world. For Sports Digitale, the team designed a 70sqm YouTube studio that offers a variety of sets for content production across different sports disciplines.

Despite its compact size, the Sports Digitale YouTube Studio is designed to maximize space usage within its existing limits and aims to create diverse zones within a setting enriched with different forms, materials, and styles. Inspired by the essence of sports, the studio by BAB Architects exudes a dynamic, energetic, friendly, fun, and relaxed atmosphere.

To give the interior a greater sense of depth, BAB Architects clad the ceilings and floors in reflective, high-gloss finishes. Mirror panels placed on the ceiling help evenly diffuse the background color used in the studio while also enhancing the perceived ceiling height. Demountable wall panels, paired with an advanced lighting grid, let the space switch themes in minutes and the brick surfaces can turn into translucent polycarbonate almost instantly.

The mesh panels animate the walls and serve as limitless shelving modules. Authentic rugs laid over the industrial floor strike a warm counterpoint, recasting the interview zone as an intimate enclave distinct from the studio’s formal core.

The transition from the Sports Digitale YouTube Studio to control and broadcast management zones is carefully designed using movable design elements without limiting the usable space. A wheeled decorative panel with a curtain behind it serves both as a visual element in the camera frame and as a functional piece allowing access to the control area.
