The aim of this proposal is the creation of an ecologic filter between the new museum of acropolis in Athens and the back facades of 2 old building in Dionisiou Aeropagitou street. On the one hand this filter is covering the back facades without closing them, creating thus a unifying “view”, and the other hand it creates a new green element that will change the microclimate of the area. In order to do that and taking under consideration the vertical element of acropolis, we propose 4 vertical elements with different performance each one.
A} green tube: It gives the necessary infrastructure in order to grow vertical plants
B} water tube: It transports the water and with a system of small sprinkles it can change the humidity of the area
C} wind tube: It collects the wind in the higher levels and transports it to the ground
D} energy tube: It is constituted by three parts, the upper it collect sun energy through the use of photovoltaic panels, the middle part works as wifi and the lower part it gives sun protection.
This project was made for a competition in Greece with Theodora Christoforidou, Katerina Trifonidou, Dimitris Gourdoukis and Vasili Ntovro and it won the 2nd prize.
