yesilyurt shopping center is located near the seaside at the newly developing high quality residential district outside the city. the view and the relation to the seaside have been important design inputs for the building due to the location of the site nearby the sea. the building consists of five floors with a car parking floor and four shopping floors. hypermarket and electronics store are located at the floor which is connected to the main road; fast-foods, cinemas and entertainment spaces are planned at the upper floor. there exists a central atrium which has the of being a passage and gathering point of the building by connecting the main road with the seaside. the sand stone material used on the façades strengthens the formation of a natural building near seaside. the mass of the building is broken by the material differences, consoles and terraces at the sea side; the building is aimed to embrace the sea.
