How does one answer the question "What is the most appropriate physical manifestation of a city`s memory?" A synthetic ruin composed of the scraps of possible trajectories, including literal archetypal hardenings, conceptual projections, and new programs assemble themselves into 20` programmed bands and 10` circulation{landscape} bands. The strategic juxtaposition of past and future landscape iterations form wet and dry basins, and programmed spaces for protest, city council, moral council, digital confessional, safety deposit, and black-box barge, among others. If the city survives, the resulting landscape is a necessary improvement at the most `sacred` ground of the city, between Jackson Square and the Mississippi River.
