To create any architecture at a natural setting is a huge challenge. Creating a structure which will be responsive to nature and be sustainable as well, was the major thinking behind the design. The main target was to create a space which will be a gate into the natural world, which will educate and create consciousness about nature among the visitors, and also blend with the natural settings of the site.

2011

The site for the project was selected above the normal flood level so that it could remain open around the year. The site is located at the starting point of the beel (large water body) so that it do not hamper the natural environment. For main structure, concrete is used, rather than that for other partition wall and interior spaces wood and bamboo has been used both of which is local building material. Many pockets and central court spaces has been created to bring the outside environment more into the structure.
