Located outside the city, this three bedroom weekend home is a series of timber, clay and masonry screens set within a concrete frame structure. Varying levels of transparency define the public and private areas of the house. Measuring twenty feet by sixty feet two double height spaces, bracket a centrally located mezzanine. The screens represent a strong constructional logic, coupled with an economy of means which give the house a strong visual and physical coherency.
The concrete frame extends out into the landscape to define a patio. Steps lead from here into a swimming pool on one side and a yoga garden on the other. This is further defined by a series of planar walls in the landscape.
