the vertical volume of the tower represents a monolithic obelisk which becomes a focal point for the entire area around the embankment. the horizontal part of the complex creates a 3-d public space around the tower. the upper tier of the hotel is occupied by a sky-bar with apertures providing a panoramic view over kharkov’s historical centre.
