The project is the A contemporary observatory for new dialogues among humans and non-humans. The observatory is the public space for a dialogue and discovering which is based by . It is also the life-pleasure of the humankinds.

Because the contemporary era has the crisis of lost the physical reality of the sustainability, it is important to have the consciousness of the following issues in 21 century.

is the respecting the past and the future. It is the succession of “Genius Loci” by using the soil at the site into the rammed earth with the material aging and by keeping the height of the original-historical castle.
is the peace of the humankinds. It is the communication beyond the country, the religion and generation by having the event for the dialogue at the inside void. In the air of the void, the people can the big communication from the 360 degrees and looking over and looking down indirectly. At the ground, the people can the intimate communication face to face directly.
is the awe toward the nature. It is the notice that the “Humans is a part of Nature” by the having the panoramic view and the experience of the huge-sensitive natural and artificial landscape in Tokyo from the hilltop of the surroundings.

The cave of the observatory is the reversible space among the non-humans (outside) and humans (inside) according the situation. It is the open-meditation space for everyone to contemplate “What is the essence of the life in 21 century?” forever…

In Tokyo, There is a big void. The void has a lot of nature, perspectives and the original history.
The site is Tenshukaku donjon of Edo Castle.
It is standing on the hill garden of Tokyo in the void.
Edo Castle was completed in 1638, standing 58m, and symbolized the authority of Tokugawa Shogunate. It was burnt down in the conflagration of 1657, only 19 years after completion.
Porous Living makes the diversification of human with event in void, 100 meditation void with the change of the natural environment.
Pleats surface will be covered with the vegetation.
Porous Void Loop makes the Open space among Humans, Nature (Lights, Winds, Sky, Trees, and Views...) through outside and inside.

For 0(Zero) eco impact, POROUS DRAPE is made with
the soil cut from the inside of Tenshukaku donjon.
In the middle of the donjon, it will be open event space.
POROUS DRAPE is ±0 Eco Monument.
The height is 58m which was the height of Edo Castle
of Tokugawa Shogunate in 1638. The historical memory is succeeded.
Mass : Void = 1 : 1
The rate is good for the construction and ventilation.
Cut soil is formed the Slices which are 200mm thickness, and Stacked.
200mm thickness is good for the activities for sitting and stair.
Stacking makes Pleats, Pleats volume will be the vegetable volume.
Soil-stratum is made with the soil, cement, sand and water.
