Mobile phones which are discarded annually 21 million are valuable resources, there are countless rare metals called urban mines that is referred to as the fate of resources, however, such resources are not regenerated at all and people doesn’t concern about it.
So I propose to build a recycling faculty of mobile phones so as to re-circulate the rare metal in a city. The program is not only the recycling faculty, but also a museum, shops and public spaces.
I chose my site at high-density urban area of IKEBUKURO where lots of end-users are lives in. As the site is surrounded by 3 main infrastructures and adjacent to a incineration plant, the site is divided from the city though it is situated in central IKEBUKURO
Maximizing its potential and solving negative effect of the site, I insert junctions as architecture and it makes an efficient distribution and a system of recycling by using the existing infrastructure.
People can pass through the architecture feeling mass reproductions and some sense of speed .
And when the circle of recycling throughout the city get well organized, walls of architecture covered in rare metal will be dismantled.
The architecture would be left as a monumental promenade and square.
