SPIRETEC was an architectural design competition hosted by Spire World. The project required one to design for 62,750 sq.m of mixed use area which was also part of an IT office complex in Greater Noida.
Archohm’s entry was inspired from the Indian ‘paan’, a dish that is composed of interesting individual ingredients. each clear and powerful in itself but which produce a mixture that is even more interesting and infectious. Similarly, the design attempted to bring in all the components of the complex program to coexist under one single gesture of intervention. Each having their own characteristics and yet being able to create an electric ambience when put together.
A clean rectangle dimensions and scales itself to the contextual grid of blocks before it turns and basks in the sun. It seems to initiate itself from the greens of a landscaped entrance. the project ascends through a roof park that connects multiple meeting and accident spots. be it a corporate lunch hour, a relaxed retail rendezvous, the institutional spill over or a jog in the park.
Spiretech flavored the entire experience as one of savoring the ‘paan’. a holistic experience to all senses, well known and drenched in history and culture yet open to experimentation and opportunity to evolve.
