The building which is designed as accomodation and youth center block for university students, is located on an important position as it is close to the major universities of Ankara like METU, Hacettepe and Bilkent, and is adjacent to CEPA shopping mall on Eskişehir motorway.
The building is designed as a high-rise block because of its program, density and location, but it is fragmented into groups of stories by inserting certain stories providing gathering spaces like terraces and public spaces. By the help of this fragmentation, it is intended to improve the quality of living of the inhabitants by the green areas brought up to the third dimension and to scale down the massive block into human scale.
On the ground and basement levels, there is the horizontal social center volume which serves the inhabitants while being able to be approached independently by the entrance on the main road facade.
