Sport Beyond The Sea

The intention of 'Sport Beyond The Sea' project, is to create a sea sport destination, for the whole community in Jeddah city. The aim is to encourage the sociability and enhance the walkability experience in a vehicle based city.
The project's site was selected to act as a bridge in the heart of the new development of Jeddah's waterfront. It connects the eastern side which have a long walkway, to the other western side reaching the seashore. The smooth integration of the bridge within the different masses of the facility, creates the project's form, functionality and identity, with respect to the environmental aspects in the form generation, and facade's treatment.
The program of the facility offers a safe adequate environment to practice, and develop the users sport skills. It covers different main sports, from an Olympic swimming pool to a multi-functional courts and studios that adapts to a different type of sports.
