ETC’s timber Passive House construction presents a new ideology for building rental properties in Sweden. The proposal is to be nonprofit, financed through crowdfunding with the objective to reduce rental costs without compromising the quality of the architecture.

We are developing a typology of varying apartments sizes, each with large balconies and integrated greenhouses with the ambition for this utopia to be spread across Sweden. Constructed from timber with an extensive use of solar panels, the project has strong environmental aspirations to be self-sufficient. The materials are chosen because of their low emissions and capacity to store carbon as well as their effective assembly on site demonstrating a sustainable and responsible approach to building today.
