This project holds a special place in our hearts—an expansive 4500 square foot apartment nestled within a modern high-rise in Pune.

Right from the start, our vision for this home was to create a clean and minimalist shell, adorned with captivating artworks and uniquely designed furniture that would take center stage throughout the space.

Our clients, a young couple with an infant, sought a versatile environment encompassing various areas—a study, a theater, and more—where they could entertain freely, relishing the openness of the space and immersing themselves in the interplay of art and design.

Each area was meticulously planned around a central concept, ensuring that art and color would enrich and enhance the experience of using the space. We used a mix of furniture sourced from Italy with pieces made locally that would help to create a harmonious balance of form and function. Collaborating with numerous artists and galleries, we commissioned site-specific pieces that harmonized with the furniture and surface treatments of each area.

For instance, in the living room, we treated one of the walls with modern molding details, dividing it into distinct sections that were accentuated by artworks from the same series of one particular artist. These works gradually converged across the entire wall. The artist incorporated colors and resin embroidery beads derived from the threadwork of the vibrant green sofa positioned in front of it.

Similarly, the study space became a testament to our collaboration with a ceramic artist, a resin artist, and a graphic designer. We designed site-specific pieces in a particular shade of blue, introducing it through the carpet and sofa as well. This cohesive approach permeated the entire home, with each space being meticulously curated to offer a distinct and unparalleled experience of the fusion between art and design.

These examples merely scratch the surface of the thorough curation that went into every corner of this home, providing an extraordinary way to revel in the interplay between art and design.
