An exhibition held for the purpose of cultural exchange between France and Japan. First landing in Tokyo as a traveling exhibition, it will take two years to run around four venues in Minami Aoyama, Tokyo. The paper that looks like Japanese paper is made from French paper with a glass fiber and has been certified as flameproof in Japan. Therefore, it is highly versatile and can be used in various places such as restaurants and commercial facilities. The transparent paper changes its facial expression with natural light and lighting, and invites people to a new world as if they were in a cave in space.
The interior quality of the space is enhanced with the light that complements the shapes and forms of the paper. Although several layers of the material have been used to create the space, the area is still feels light and airy. The characteristics of the paper material, allows transforming the space into a dynamic area for several activities, with the ability to adapt to any even that might occur in the area. The spatial arrangement allows easy movement within yet created a wonderful space for conversations, meetings, and more.
Moreover, unlike exhibitions that happen only for a certain time-period, causing excessive wastage of materials and other valuable resources, the interior of this exhibition was designed to be relocated with ease, with consideration to the environmental issues. The material is recyclable, hence possible to create something that is not damaging the environment. The design takes a unique approach to the space where the quality of the space is only improved with the thoughtful selection of resources.
