Crowne Plaza: the hotel in the heart of Warsaw
In the heart of Warsaw, quite recently, was opened the first in Poland Crowne Plaza hotel – The Warsaw HUB. It is a modern structure which reflects a vibrant city. Interiors were designed by architects of Tremend studio.
Modern, multifunctional HUB located in Wola, Warsaw is a place which cannot be ignored. Two glass skyscrapers, connected by a bridge, hide conference and office spaces, relax zones and hotels. One of them, called Crowne Plaza, was opened there recently. Architectural studio Tremend was responsible for architectural design of the hotel, interior design and multi-branch project.
The main motif of Crowne Plaza’s interiors is Vistula River – its wild nature, sun and sand of beaches located along the Vistula. That is the reason for golden and brass elements, which remind of golden sand, and motifs reflecting the river on the floor in the hall and in art pieces. Respecting nature was important to the architects from Tremend studio – which was not only manifested in references to the nature but also in conscious choice of materials. They used eco-friendly materials from verified manufacturers.
Common areas are a reflection of a vibrant city. They are saturated, full of colour and eclectic. They are characterised by richness in finishing materials and exceptional care for details – there is no place for a mistake or coincidence. Furniture is also catching an eye – soft skin, pleasing fabrics combined with a subtle shape of lasting and sturdy tables. Blackness of Cosetino quartz conglomerates used for countertops is an ideal match with seats’ warm brownness and shade of old gold, which is present on lamps and features of furniture. Main motif for a conference centre is in lifestyle spirit – it reminds of a modern command centre filled with modern technologies and yet, it is still cosy.
An unmistakable advantage of this building is the extensive conference space, which was designed for a possibility of quick rearrangement. The next place which stands out from the hotel is Sky Bar located on the last floor, where one can relax and have a stunning view of the city.
