BML Munjal University is a fully residential and co-educational private university located in Sidhrawali, Gurgaon district, Haryana, India. The University was founded in 2014 by the promoters of the Hero Group, and is named after the group's chairman and founder Brij Mohan Lall Munjal. It offers B.Tech, BCom (Honours), BBA, MBA, Law and Ph.D degrees.
At BML Munjal University (BMU), students receive an education that incorporates advanced pedagogy and immersive experiential learning.
All the courses at BMU, undergraduate or postgraduate, are based on the outcome-based education system. Outcome based education (OBE) is an educational system that is based on students achieving pre-defined goals, or outcomes as the basis of their education.
It specifies no method to attain those goals – so classes, opportunities, assessments, and instruction become a function of what is needed to achieve those outcomes.
In some ways, it mirrors in education the outcome-based orientation of the workplace. It has proved to be effective in the inculcation of competencies in students in several areas that were deemed critical. The OBE education system prepares them with Life skills, Basic skills, Professional and vocational skills, Intellectual skills, Interpersonal and personal skills.
