THE MID TOWN OFFICE

A neutral palette of materials with bold and vibrant graphical interventions creates this 5000 sq ft office for a building developer in Mumbai.

The office is entered through an open reception area with a sculptural reception desk created with corrugated paper. Cabins and conference rooms occupy the periphery with an open work station space located centrally.

Divided into two distinct spaces the working area into which one enters and the recreational area beyond, the layout is configured to suit the client’s requirements within the existing framework of an office building.

Alluding to the nature of the company, word graphics, a bright yellow measuring tape cutting across the floor and climbing up vertically onto doors at either ends and a punctuated storage unit enliven the office spaces interestingly .

Muted colors and textures across the office vary subtly in each space imparting each volume with a distinct identity whilst cohesively forming a whole.

Ecofriendly materials including reconstituted chipboard, wood, fibre boards, recycled concrete hollow blocks and corrugated paper form the palette of the interior.

The Midtown Office brings together sustainable materials and graphics to create workspaces conducive to working creatively. Careful attention is attributed to every aspect of the functional requirements enhanced by lighting , textures and color .
