On the peak of a low seaside mountain, the new public/government observatory will be constructed. The rough hewn vernacular materials and blank white walls announce the presence of the observatory while respecting the site and creating a dynamic and attractive public ammenity for the area. Five buildings will be constructed: the main building houses the visitor`s center, staff housing, a cafeteria and the ops-center. The main observatory boasts two telescopes and a second visitor`s center. The other three buildings house technical meteorlogical equipment and public facilities.
