Hist - Tech in PRAHA

The idea behind this design was to create a link between the historical heritage values by providing efficient usage of the site. By formin this connection, an oppurtunity to design spaces with respect to industrial heritage of the site located on the waterfront was emerged.

The newly created spaces have formed a bond between the need of cultural activities and industrial historical heritage of the site. It also encourages the efficient usage of waterfront. In regarding to efficiency, existing railway that was currently out of use has become adaptively reusable and is now a part of the exhibition area. Besides that, artificially created ponds are not only used to prevent flooding but also have become a part of the boat exhibition. The building also includes a small production area besides the boat exhibition since the boats were modelled exactly before mass production.

The building consists of two main parts that exhibits old and new technologies. It emphasises its time with the design approach that is used in the choice of structure and material.
