This project was intended to bring the Harrah's Ak-Chin property into the 21st century, offering more entertainment options and a resort feeling to guests while preserving and representing the tribal heritage of the Ak-Chin Indian Community in a contemporary and respectful manner.

Harrah’s Ak-Chin Hotel & Casino property expansion includes a new hotel tower and casino renovation, with 20,060 SF of new gaming space which connects to the “Ultra Star” entertainment facility utilizing an elevated & covered walkway.

The new 11 story hotel tower features, 230 four-diamond luxury rooms and suites, a fitness center and intimate spa, transforming this property into a first class resort. On their way to the completely renovated game floor,
guests are invited to dine at the new feature restaurant, Chop, Block & Brew, a steakhouse serving a fresh assortment of beer, burgers and cuts of meat, and one of three entirely new food and beverage outlets.

Other new dining outlets include Harrah’s Diamond Lounge, for top-tier guests and a wine bar, featuring wine on tap.

Also included as part of this expansion is a new multi-level parking structure, providing 726 easy-access parking stalls and much-needed shade from the desert sun; a ballroom that accommodates up to 2,000 special-event guests or up to 1,000 dining guests; several break-out rooms; and a dedicated Board Room for corporate functions.

This project was completed 6 months ahead of the initial schedule, even after taking on a significant amount of additional scope items and running into multiple unforeseen existing conditions.
