The project re-examines the definition of a social dwelling. We believe it has the same ambitions as any other type of housing: more light, more space inside, more flexibility, greater user-friendliness, more gardens, more terraces, more design, more durability, a better performance.

From this standpoint, 8 high-quality housing units are proposed as an alternative to the 10 units sought by the competition. The apartments are served by an "unenclosed" motion block and are bathed in light, accumulating on the terraces to create a clear, congenial and airy corridor. The variety of typologies provides 2, 3, 4 or 5-room dwellings. Each apartment, duplex or house has at least one large terrace. Shared areas and playing areas are also established on the ground floors, along with an apartment for people with reduced mobility.
