The Challenge: Design the first skyscraper in Damascus, Syria
The Proposal: A twin tower 180m high
We intended to represent a new face for Damascus that would be unique among the various forms of high-rise structures spread around the world. 2030 was the date we had in mind for the construction of the towers. The duality in our approach is derived from the actual duality of the architectural scene in Damascus ie. the old damascene heritage and the modern direction. Two very distinct directions that share the same origin which is the city. The envelope consists of solar panels and photon collectors integrated with glass panels.
