HEALTH CENTER CASCAIS, EXTENSION ALCABIDECHE, PORTUGAL
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
1 - SOLUTION FOR
1.1 - GENERAL
The proposed lot is located in Estoril today, in an area between residential neighborhoods and unspoilt fragmented urban consolidation, without strong points of reference, however, and the emergence of a new residential area the lot is part of a street corner for new roads the South and West, node roundabout and parking to the south
Terrain characteristics and the completion of the assumptions of functional program, combines the concern of a building of formal and spatial characteristics, rich in sensations that show a building of unique architectural character and attractive, worthy of a work of state and easy identification by users.
1.2 - MORPHOLOGICAL FEATURES
It was decided by a building of two floors apparently formed by the articulation of volumes lagged the main body and surrounded by a container that unifies the whole. The articulation of volumes, there is a void that runs through the building across, covered only by the container, which creates a unique one with double ceiling height, central to the building, allowing the convenience of a double entry to the North and South One of the volumes, hinges perpendicular to the main body, the center of this, and intends to reflect the announcement of the entry of the Health Center through a strong and recognizable image. The function modules are divided by the volume displaced, for both sides of the entrance of the Health Center, and one of them works to the west in a semi-basement, taking advantage of the sloping ground.
1.3 - ORGANIZATION SPACE AND CIRCULATION SYSTEM
The building was deployed south of the lot, parallel to contour lines, streets and the parking provided. As the site plan, floor level 0 works formally L, the South and East, it was possible to create a more private square with pedestrian access to the north and access of vehicles, to the west, across the street from St. Vincent .
In that square was still possible to create a parking area, which was provided access for ambulances and disabled parking and a seating area on the east.
The building is characterized by a functional logic and structure of movement very rational,
allowing both the user and the employee an understanding of flexibility and movement simple and fast.
Modeling spatial and functional organization permitted modules completely independent of each other. This solution, if necessary, for reasons of management of their own health center, allows the termination of modules not needed.
