H2Ö aims to provide Östhammar with a new continuous urban coast-line-zone which is divided into three main areas - the harbor, the city park and the old society park- with different themes and functions connected directly to the city-center and bounded together by a walkway along the coast-line, with a loop and viewpoint in both ends- along with the various activities along the walkway the trip along the sea is a changing experience without any dead-ends.
The three areas are all open surfaces shaped with different approaches. Buildings in various scales are placed as objects on the surface among existing and new trees - all the buildings are round-shaped with wooden structures and together with the trees will be a natural and forthcoming part of the public parks welcoming both local inhabitants and visitors. Thus the buildings are a recognizable element along the cost-line in addition to the continuous wooden walkway. The hotel and the conference facilities are places in the park among the existing trees and the spa is placed as an island in the water and they are all connected on the underground level. This organization makes three freestanding buildings with unique and incurring spaces for body and mind.
