In accordance with its function, the building appears compact, simple and understated when viewed from outside. Inside however, a series of inner courtyards help to create a complex three dimensional space. With its internal focus, security aspects are addressed not only in a functional sense but are also incorporated into the actual design of the building. In addition to individual offices, inner courtyards provide high quality connecting spaces with a variety of interior and exterior views. Corridors and walkways merge almost imperceptibly with communal and meeting areas. The buildings exterior is part of an integrated concept where facade, technical fittings, energy saving devices, work environment optimizations (with respect to light and ventilation) all form part of a coordinated effort to create a low-energy building.
