Description

This was my proposal for a Muslim cultural center for my Design 7 class. The problem was to to design a structure that would explain and enrich the cultures of the Muslim people in the Marawi region in the Philippines. Though we were tasked to produce a vernacular structure, I instead opted to create a design that would define the Muslim heritage in the 21st century.

The design was inspired by the Arabic script, with the notion that the language itself is one of the unifying force between the circle of the Muslim culture.
