The long and flat landscape of the site is lined with a border of trees that confines it from its surroundings. This confinement, and only slight glimpses through the trees can lead to an intrigue of what is beyond this border. A winery, acting as a marketing tool for itself as well as a production space, should deliver the most desirable features of the immediate site to the visitors. In this case, that feature is to create a link to the nearby River. This area can serve as its own destination point, in which the access to it is framed underneath the elevated winery bridge. This elevated public space for the winery, which includes the tasting and dining areas, utilizes a system of tectonics that references the language of the vineyard paths. The wine tasting experience is enhanced by this levitation above the landscape. It helps one to fully appreciate the scale of the vineyard, as well as to capture views of the Bosque and mountains to the west. This area is also connected to the production space, in order for visitors to understand the industrial aspect to wine making. The winery uses industrial building materials to reflect this process. Much like the layering of the trees that create the site border, a metal mesh skin system is staggered to reveal the building structure and views of the site from inside. It also serves as a shading device and as the backdrop for the wine bottle displays.
