The Bora Haus

This Bora Haus design came up as an entry to University of the Philippines "Pinaka-Magandang bahay sa Balat ng Lupa" (Most Beautiful House on the Planet) Design Competition held sometime February 2009. My concept is the Rafflesia flower, the rarest and largest flower in the world endemic in the rainforests of the Philippines. The house is circular with a lot of open spaces, a shell that`s open to environment because I want a house that breathes fresh air and embraces the ambiance of the rainforest. I named it Bora, derived from one of famous tropical Philippine Islands, Boracay where the whitest and purest sand in the beaches are found.
