Guirim House, in Goa, India was conceived as a response to on site requirements. Privacy from the south and openness to the paddy fields views to the north.
The fact that the building was only 110 m2 and the plot pretty small at only 250 m2 were decisive in trying to make it feel larger and bright. This gave us some basic guidelines, which suggested an open building with a main garden area and smaller garden pockets to make it feel bigger.
