Saraswati Bhuvan Highschool at Ranjani, Jalna, maharashtra, India.

A school situated in a rural area exists amidst a “Typical” Indian village called Ranjani. The target audience of the intended design is primarily poor people from the village Ranjani and also from the surrounding villages. The village is connected with by Railway, and road network, thus making it accessible for the aspirants nearby. As the user to built environment dialogue is essential to be generated which would bind these lower middle class and low income group people with the school ass an Architect I believe we can essentially serve as passive teachers, by virtue of our Architecture. Obviously so the school externally designed to respond to the surrounding village visual language, depicts the character of the built form. A closed form with a large courtyard for daily assemblies and many events spread all over the academic year. The color, texture of the envelope is also inspired by the surroundings. We have gathered a very healthy feedback on the design from the students and teachers.

Though a framed RCC structure it almost resembles rural Load bearing structure. Ground and two stories above. The sun breakers serve the building to remain climate responsive.
