the project interprets the values of ruin and urban stratification, social and cultural centers that characterize most historians of the south, setting the goal of promoting the recovery of the identity of places. for a ground floor, covered with stone, with full height openings marked by irregular rhythm, such as fragments of historical memory to a ruin, it overlaps a white volume, with openings of different sizes arranged in a seemingly random way that suggests the idea of ruins reinterpreted in a contemporary. as generated by an overlap in time, the two systems are building an architectural element that, when viewed from the valley below, appears as a landmark in itself, which summarizes the character of the skyline of the country and simultaneously reinforces his plan. a new urban polarity that triggers important dialectical processes between the new existence. the irregularity of openings in the facade, and their presence in the light cover guaranteed a role. the light in fact strongly connotes the character of the interior, giving it an almost surreal dimension of the space that opens into perspective views of the sky and landscape. the space inside is divided by the link system whose vertical ramps, which are constantly changing direction, seem to in the void, assuming a value of sculptures. the vacuum which overlooks the staircase is traversed by the light from above penetrated to the depths emphasizing the plasticity and highlighting the irregularity of the ramps. the roadway via virello, is shifted a few feet, away from the front of the project and leaving a space walking path that connects the adjacent streets, designed in line with some retraining interventions have already made. it takes special attention to the impact that the project has on the environment by providing for the use of local materials and innovative systems for energy conservation. usability is guaranteed by the fall of architectural barriers, without neglecting the elements of street furniture which are designed as a fully integrated system to the project. a project that moves into a complex with an apparent simplicity of the contemporary mediterranean character, capable of synthesizing and transmitting the characters themselves in the place where you insert, aiming not only to answer the question but above all to new needs and new requirements.
