Cucina, Soggiorno, Camera, Prato ( Kitchen, Living Room, Bedroom, Lawn )...A house/park or a park/house for the San Donato citizens.
Strolling around the San Donato districty, it`s easy to be stunned by its village-like mood, and by the domestic feeling it`s able to convey. The towers of the Fiera, although visible, are part of a distant landscape. The city of traffic, haste, and urban relationships appears like an outer world that should be acknowledge, without being overrun by it.
The green spots belong to the habits and customs of the citizens: the park already exists, although it`s made up by distinct areas, juxtaposed and separated by one another.
Given these strong features, two elements seem to be missing: the possibility of recognizing and `labeling` the single spaces, and a unifying image that can tie them together, connecting both phisically and metaphorically the single areas: the park of the Giardino Bentivogli, the areas around the Neighborhood Center, the farther ones, surrounded by houses, the street, the parking lot.
The Cucina, Soggiorno, Camera, Prato project works within these two missing features, suggesting once again the domestic feeling typical of this area. The park we present is a house/park or a park/house: a sequence of outside rooms that mimick, re-interpreting them, the rooms of a conventional apartment. A house that anyone can feel like his or her own, to feel safe in and in which to carry out various activity during in different moments of the day
