Toftegards Plads Syd has remained largely unused for several years. In its current form it far from reflects the fact that it is one of the most important and most distinctive gateways to Copenhagen. The City of Copenhagen has therefore decided to launch a competition to obtain ideas for the creation of a lively, human and vibrant urban space of high architectural quality.


“Articulated Park”:

The space created is not only for gathering people about art and culture. It is also to offer connection, leisure and rest.
The pedestrian are given platforms as pauses along the path. In order to reflect diversity and receive different king of events or performances, those are textured with green grass, plants or wood. They will host trees, smooth surfaces or even windmills.

The volume of the project is directed for the urban and social fabrics to breathe and to have new functions for locals and walkers. The proposed amenities are organised under an integrated and animated landscaped walk. They organise exhibition space and multi media library surrounding a stage and its steps.

This is another vision of public space proposed with the dynamic articulation of a plan aiming for artistic and cultural development.
