CONCEPT
The project is recreating a garden of lotus flowers that borders the river Hang Gang. Which arises like a symbol from the beauty and purity that appears again of the water, like the new vision of Seoul and its projection to a sustainable future.
Just as the leaves of lotus they float on the water and the Flowers arises to the surface. They propose urban structures under the sustainability concepts, use of friendly eco materials and the use of renewable energies set out, taking advantage of and conserving the natural elements, the air, the water, and the Earth.
DESCRIPTION
The proposal is to raise a urban park with sustainable terms, able to take advantage of the natural resources by means of the use of renewable energies to be self sustainable, as well as the impulse of the developed urban activities that borders the river Han Gang for the Citizens of Seoul.
Several sources set out renewable energetics that cause that the park is self sufficient:
•Aeolian System by means of vertical aerogenerators that takes advantage of the airflows that borders the river.
•System of solar collectors, considering structure inspired by it forms of the lotus flowers that go to the sun catching energy. These elements are simultaneously integrated in the park like great parasols that protects the visitors from the sun and the rain, at night they aretransformed into lamps which illuminate the night picture.
•Plant of biomass. The advantage of the organic remainders of the park will produce energy for the other systems of maintenance of the park.
•System of urban platforms of plant growing which are cultivated and can be taken advantage of their organic remainders.
•System of irrigation and treatment of the water. A system recycling the water allows to accumulate the water and to distribute it in the different zones.
•Modulate of control. Which accumulates the energy picked up by the different systems it distributes and it where it is needed.
