Competition to create a symbol for Dubai

Our Response:
Dubai is a city of curves and skyscrapers. For our proposal we adopted the curve yet abandoned the notion of a tall embelem. We believe the proposal should be a low lying entity of scale to which people will be able to relate to. We have integrated our entire scheme with ramps and landscape elements to create an ambience of culture and heritage. We would like the symbol of the nation to be an active element in the urban fabric of Dubai. Hence we have created our own program for the symbol to incorporate. We envision the "symbol" to be a place where one can understand the history of Dubai and its people along with being a platform for cultural experimentation.
