WWF’s Earth Hour teamed up with Do The Green Thing to release 29 inspirational posters, designed by world-famous creatives, to celebrate Earth Hour. And you can win the chance to see your design in the collection and take centre stage leading up to the event! Check out last year’s collection here…

If you’re aged 16-25 simply submit your design to help inspire people to live more sustainably. It can be anything you like, from switching off lights and appliances to enjoying a jumper or a hug instead of turning up the heating, as long as it shows a simple green action that helps protect the planet. It doesn’t have to be a final poster at this stage, we just want to see your idea as 6 lucky finalists will be invited to work with top designers at legendary Pentagram Design Studios in London before submitting their poster.
The final designs will go to public vote in February to decide the winners, the top three entries will feature in the collection (released in March) and the overall top-voted winning design will feature in an Earth Hour advert.
How to enter:
- Entrants must be aged 16 – 25 (UK residents only)
- Entrants must be able to attend the mentoring session at Pentagram Design in London on 22nd January
- Either use our poster template or create your artwork to 1475 x 2003 pixel dimensions. If you’re using our poster template, import it into Adobe Illustrator, fill the grey space with your design and add your action line (e.g. ‘Switch off’ or ‘Walk to work’). Take a look at the competition brief for a list of simple green actions you can choose from.
- The design can include sketches, illustrations, graphic design and/ or photography
- Your entry must be uploaded via the form below in JPEG or PNG format (no more than 2MB in size). As well as the entry form details, you will also need to briefly explain the concept of your design (in no more than 1000 characters).
- The competition closes for entries at 11.59pm on 13th January 2014
