Gallery: Kirstenbosch Treetop Walkway “Boomslang” is open

The much anticipated Boomslang is now open to the public. The 130 metre, snake-like walkway meanders through the Arboretum, also known as the Enchanted Forest, in the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden and has no additional charge other than to enter the garden. The project is a collaboration between Mark Thomas Architects and  Henry Fagan & Partners consulting engineers. Stretching 11 metres above the ground, the galvanised steel and timber walkway provides breathtaking views from the treetops of  Table Mountain and the Cape Flats. These beautiful photos are by Adam Harrower, a horticulturist at Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden.
